The village of Bogong, nestled at the foot of Mt. Bogong,  provides magnificent colours during autumn time.

This is also a popular route to nearby snowfield at Mt. Hotham; other snowfields at Falls Creek and Mt. Buffalo are within easy access from Bright.

Chestnut Tree is located within the Ovens Valley with picturesque views of the surrounding hills and bush-lands.

These provide many opportunities for bushwalking, touring or "just soaking in the view".
